First Presbyterian Celebrating 200 Years of Worship and Service!
All are welcome to worship and participate in activities at First Presbyterian Church.
The church has occupied a site in the middle of Athens since it was organized in 1809 by the first president of Ohio University, Jacob Lindley.
Presbyterians played a vital role in the development of the city and the university.
Four of the first five presidents of the university were Presbyterian pastors.
